Give em what they want
Gotta go with the crowd here; you should really do the rest of the album. This matched how I had the scene pictured exactly, right down to Light's dramatic hand gestures and >< epic squinty eyes.
Oh my god, something original on newgrounds :O
Also, a suggestion. Rather than a hive-mind guy fighting for control, what if whoever that guy was is a kind of disembodied spirit or something, who can seize control of any of the gas-mask people? Could create interesting drama; he could emerge from a group of enemies, or turn back into one, at any time. Just a thought :)
Wonderful
The music was perfect, and the tone of the animation made me smile before anything had even happened. Great work; I can imagine them showing this at a Nintendo conference on one of the jumbotrons and making Miyamoto laugh :)
Extremely well-honed.
This movie is a brilliant example of why sprite animation can be just as well-done as any other kind. Besides that, you've managed to meld a few different continuities (the various Mario games, sonic, dragonball) together in a way that doesn't seem stilted while tossing little homages out to each one (mario meeting the chief yoshi was reminiscent of something out of dragonball) The animation was extremely smooth, the look and feel of each game/show was captured perfectly, and I applaud you for it.
The only thing is that I might have organized them into a tournament DBZ-style rather than all that chaotic fighting, but it works either way and its your series, not mine.
Keep up the good work ^_^ Waiting for the next one patiently.
Surprisingly impressive.Or impressively surprising
spoilers:
Wow. I have to say, for all the craziness and cliche`-swinging, you really managed to impress me here as a writer. You took Blockhead's idyllic craziness and turned it into a theme that tied up the ending, and I'm really impressed.
That whole conversation with the doctor was like they were speaking in two different language that we understood both of. And that line:
'I don't know. And I'm alright with that.'
classic. Amazing job here. 10's all round.
Nicely done.
Very nicely done. This had kind of a mature, dark style, but was written a way kids could follow without it dumbing itself down for them. This would make a really good childrens' book. I suggest you approach literary agents and publishers with this idea.
...
I suppose if I were high on quaaludes.....anywho.
'Enter a message?' What am I supposed to write here? Musings on the universe? Favorite brand of tuna?! SHOE SIZE?!? Btw, holy crap, asking for your favorite bands and movies and then using them for shameless plugs is such bastardly genius.
